Hacienda del Secreto is not a historic hacienda but a boutique resort consisting of the five cutest oceanfront villas between Playa del Carmen and Cancun. The ambiance is 100% Mexican, with thousands of details capturing the culture of this country – palm-palapas next to each villa and plenty of iguanas walking freely through the resort. Another special touch that we love about weddings at Hacienda del Secreto is that the beach where it is located has no public access, so it tends to stay pretty calm (no crowds of tourists). Sarah and Ben chose this place for their wedding because of this intimate and peaceful atmosphere. The group of friends that surrounded them on their big day rented all five villas for a few days, making sure that nobody else would interrupt the celebration of the union between these two beautiful human beings.

This wedding was really laid back, just like the place itself! When we arrived the groom was riding in a kayak out at sea with his best friend while the rest of the guys were sipping margaritas and piña coladas at the main pool. The girls weren’t missing out on the party either as they got Sarah ready in the bridal suite (and kept busy developing their Mimosa recipe). Sarah was a perfect bride: relaxed, fun, loving and spontaneous in everything she did. She also had the best maid of honor ever who was just as bright and amusing as Sarah. A brilliant ceremony full of emotions and then some hilarious dancing ended the sweet wedding day in Hacienda del Secreto. And the most amazing thing is that, throughout the day, Sarah and Ben were completely connected with each other and with the present moment. What else could a wedding photographer ask for? Happiness and joy to you, dear couple!
