vintage wedding dress at las palmas resort in huatulco

We have been waiting to share this one.

It was difficult to finalize the selection of pictures that truly tells the story of this beautiful destination Huatulco wedding which took place at Las Palmas Resort. That’s probably the only thing Erik & I ever fight about as married photographers who work together – choosing the images for our blog. There is just way too many emotional and fun shots! For Isabelle and Michael, it all started with a simple email. Stars aligned perfectly to bring these two beautiful human beings into our lives. This wonderful couple planned one of the most unique weddings we had seen in a long time and we are SO happy to have the opportunity to be there for them. What an awesome concept and what an authentic and genuine people! Pure love. After a couple of weeks we receive an email from Isabelle and Michael telling us about their experience:

We chose Huatulco because we found such a great venue where all our guests could stay together and the natural scenery was extraordinary. We are lovers of nature and the outdoors and it was important for us to have our wedding outside. Mexico has a sweet place in our hearts, we love the culture, the food, the people, the vibes. We designed the ceremony ourselves and it was very personal. It was amazing to have our family and some of our oldest friends there with us to witness our commitment to the love we share. It felt real, raw, and true. Everyone there made it the most special day we could imagine. Our hearts were so full, it felt like they would explode! Our favorite moments of the day were taking the hike to the beach for photos in the rain right after the ceremony – an experience we won’t forget. It was such a gorgeous place to be immersed in that natural world as husband and wife for the first time. Of course the rain reminded us to just let go and go with the flow! Also, the dance party was INCREDIBLE. The dance floor was wild the entire night, we couldn’t stop dancing, laughing, playing, hugging, and rocking out with all our amazing friends and family. We were so full of gratitude and felt incredibly blessed and joyful. Thank you both so much for being our photographers. We absolutely love that you guys are such an amazing team as photographers and as a couple. You both have such a calm and beautiful energy, we really appreciated having you there with us!

The advice from Isabelle for future brides and grooms in preparation for their big day:
On your wedding day and the leading up to it, take a deep breath, feel your feet on the ground,  the wind on your face, the sun on your skin, or whatever it is that will bring you into the present and keep you grounded and alive to this amazing moment in your life.
