Marie and Marlon are an amazing couple that we fall in love with since their first email to us. They were planing to celebrate their destination wedding at Dreams Riviera Maya with their small group of dearest friends and family at one of Mexico’s most alluring caribbean coasts. They live at Minneapolis, share same interests as dancing and volunteering for dogs shelters and they also have two wonderful furry friends Lola and Jasper (for those who don’t know already, Erik and I are just crazy about animals and we have a lot of dogs in our lives without counting our three babies Guera, Chester & Oso). I can also tell you that Marie and Marlon are totally in love and this was so obvious starting from our first meeting a day before their celebration when we made a pre-wedding photo session at the beach. They are so natural, easy going and so easy to photograph! I enjoyed a lot working at this beautiful and intimate wedding with all this awesome people. It was full of emotions and unique moments and I can also tell you that their friends were so happy for them it was practically tangible!
Marie, the bride, is sharing her memories from this day:
So tell us what made you choose Mexico as your wedding destination? Mexico is a great country with wonderful people and specifically in Quintana Roo, a lot to do. Besides the beautiful resorts there are a lot of different places to visit from the Ruins to Isla Mujeres. A lot of our guests had never been to Riviera Maya before and we thought it would be a great place for everyone to gather. Plus how can you beat the weather?
Can you tell us about the day through your eyes? It was an amazing day! Everything about it was wonderful. The weather was warm and sunny, we were thrilled to have our closest friends and family with us, and we were at a beautiful location. It was exciting to exchange our vows and to celebrate such a meaningful moment with everyone around us. We had so much fun!
What were you’re favourite moment/s of the day? We had a lot of fun getting ready with our friends. We really loved our ceremony because we had our friend officiate and another friend sing one of our favorite songs, which was really meaningful. And last but not least, we had a lot of fun partying with all of our friends and family.
Is there any advice you’d like to give future brides or grooms in preparation for their big day in all inclusive resort? It will all come together! Planning from far away may seem challenging but it actually is very easy. Also, be prepared to accept you may have forgotten to pack something, or pack everything!
